Mahindra XUV700 starts reaching dealerships

Reports suggest that the top-spec AX7 variant of the XUV700 could cost Rs. 17.20 lakh.

Mahindra has started dispatching the XUV700 to dealerships across India. Two cars finished in Electric Blue and Dazzling Silver have been spotted at a dealer yard.

The XUV700 will be available in two trims - MX Series and AX Series. The carmaker has already announced prices for select variants including the base MX 5-seater which costs Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Reports suggest that the top-spec AX7 trim could cost Rs. 17.20 lakh.

The price difference between the 5-seater and 7-seater variants could be Rs. 70,000, while that of the petrol and diesel variants is expected to be around Rs. 1,00,000. Automatic variants could cost Rs. 1,30,000 more than the corresponding manual trims, while all-wheel-drive variants could command a premium of Rs. 1,50,000. 

The XUV700 comes with two engine options - 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol producing 197 BHP and 380 Nm and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that makes 182 BHP and 420 Nm (MT) / 450 Nm (AT). Both engines come with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive will also be available as an option.
