Mahindra Scorpio N: More info on engine specs & features

The Scorpio N is likely to be offered in 7 colour options - White, Silver, Black, Red, Blue, Green and Gold.

New details of the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N have surfaced online. The latest information sheds some light on the engine options and the various features that will be part of the package.

According to the latest leak, the Scorpio N is likely to be offered with two engine options. These include a 197 BHP petrol engine from the XUV700 and a diesel motor producing 172 BHP and up to 400 Nm. The latter is expected to come with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Moving to the chassis, the new Scorpio N will feature a Penta-link suspension with FSDs at the rear. The SUV is said to have a ground clearance of 205 mm and can handle up to 47 degrees of descent and 57 degrees of ascent gradient, courtesy of better approach and departure angles and the optional 4-Mode 4x4 system.

Reports suggest that the Scorpio N will be equipped with the latest generation ESP, traction control, hill descent control, cruise control, drowsiness detection, and 6 airbags. However, it is likely to miss out on ADAS.

In terms of creature comforts, the Scorpio N will get brown leatherette interiors with dual-zone automatic climate control, a sunroof and a 12-speaker Sony audio system as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPay connectivity.
