Living with a used Renault Scala petrol: Carried out some vital repairs

The total cost of all repairs and painting has been ₹39K, and the cost of replacing the battery, tyres has been ₹26K, making the cost of ownership ₹2.95 lakhs.

Thanks to the service team at Renault Mangalore, the pending replacement of the alternator belt and shroud motor was carried out yesterday. The service had placed an order for these parts two weeks ago and called me for the service work after getting the parts from RIPL.

The service advisor, Mr.Ashik, impressed me with his promptness by getting the parts and replacing them without any follow-ups. This guy had previously worked with PPS Jeep in Bangalore. He kept everything ready before I reached the service centre, and work was completed within 2 hours to make sure that I got back the car before lunch.  This car was previously used as a demo car/personal use by the Trident Group for 5 years, later refurbished, and sold to Mr. Jackson Lobo in 2018, who also shared positive feedback about the vehicle.

I won't mind driving that extra mile to get the best service experience if it is within my reach. The total cost of all repairs and painting has been ₹39K, and the cost of replacing the battery, tyres has been ₹26K, making the cost of ownership ₹2.95 lakhs. The car clocked 2.2K kms within a month, and it has been a happy ownership. the FE has been 15-16 kmpl since I mostly drive outside Bangalore.
