Lamborghini Huracan RWD Spyder launched at Rs. 3.45 crore

Lamborghini has launched the rear-wheel drive Huracan Spyder in India at a price of Rs. 3.45 crore (ex-showroom, India). It was globally unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show last year and marks the fourth variant in the Huracan line-up. The convertible supercar comes with a soft top roof that can be closed and opened within 17 seconds, even when the car is moving at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

Powering the rear-wheel drive model is the same 5.2-litre V10 engine that does duty in the coupe variants. It generates 572 BHP and 540 Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The RWD Huracan Spyder is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds slower than the AWD Huracan Spyder. Additionally, the RWD Spyder's top speed is 319 km/h, as compared to the AWD model's 324 km/h.

Apart from the soft top roof, the Huracan RWD Spyder also gets some other design elements that differentiate it from its AWD sibling. These include a new front bumper with larger air intakes that have been engineered to increase down force on the front axle. The car comes shod with Pirelli PZero tyres that have been exclusively developed for its rear-wheel drive characteristics.
