Kia has stared testing the Venga hatchback in India. The car has been spotted on the streets of Chennai.

According to media reports, Kia is not expected to enter the Indian market for another three years or so. In this image, the Venga is seen without any camouflage. In spy images that were obtained the car was seen with a left-hand drive configuration. Therefore, it is not easy to say whether Kia will launch it in India or not.

The Venga measures 4,075 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width and 1,600 mm in height. It has a wheelbase measuring 2,615 mm. In global markets, it is available with a choice of 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines.

The 1.6-litre petrol engine develops 123 BHP @ 6,300 rpm and 156 Nm of torque @ 4,200 rpm. This engine comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
