Kia SP2i SUV named Seltos

The Kia SP Concept-based SUV has been named Seltos. The SUV will be officially unveiled on June 20, 2019 and will be launched in the second half of this year.

The name 'Seltos' is inspired by Greek mythology and the legend of 'Celtos', the son of Hercules. According to Kia, the letter 'S' implies speed, sportiness and strength.

Recent spy images suggest that the Kia Seltos is likely to get a tiger nose grille and LED headlights. The car has a dual-tone front bumper with vertical LED fog lights. At the rear, it features wraparound tail lights with a silver tailgate garnish and a dual-tone rear bumper with chrome inserts and a silver scuff plate. The Seltos is likely to ride on 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The Kia Seltos is expected to get dual-tone interiors with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 3-spoke, multi-function steering wheel.

In India, the Kia Seltos could be offered with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options paired with a manual or an automatic transmission. A 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox might also be on offer.
