Kawasaki Ninja 300 KRT Edition launched in India

Kawasaki has silently introduced the Ninja 300 KRT Edition in India. Though the company hasn’t released an official statement yet, media reports claim that the bike is already on display at various Kawasaki dealerships across the country. The KRT Edition comes as a replacement of the Ninja Special Edition which was launched in November last year. The Ninja 300 KRT Edition is priced at Rs. 3.61 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

KRT stands for Kawasaki Racing Team. The KRT Edition features the racing team's stickers on the side and KRT badges near the fuel cap and fairing. The bike gets a black and green paint job, similar to the treatment found on the Kawasaki factory racing team that participates in the World Superbike Championship.

No mechanical changes have been made to the KRT Edition. It derives power from a 296 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which is similar to the one offered with the regular Ninja 300. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Power and torque outputs are rated at 38 BHP and 27 Nm.
