According to a media report, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has recalled the Jeep Compass for updating the powertrain control module (PCM) software in order to comply with emission norms.
11,002 units of the Compass manufactured between December 18, 2017 and November 30, 2018 have been recalled. Only the two-wheel drive diesel variants are affected by this recall. The carmaker has said that the software update is aimed to correct variations that may increase particulate emissions. The software update will take around 15 minutes and will be carried out free of cost.
The recall will begin in the first week of March and FCA India and authorised dealers will directly contact owners of the affected vehicles.
