Interiors of production spec Fiat Avventura spied

Over the past months, Italian carmaker Fiat has been testing the Avventura on Indian roads. It has been spotted on numerous occasions and while its exterior has been snapped on one occasion without any camouflage, there were no pictures of its interiors available. Now however, Car Dekho has managed to obtain an image, which clearly shows the interiors of what appears to be the base or mid variant of the car.

The image indicates that the Avventura's interiors sport a similar black and beige theme to the recently launched Punto EVO and the Linea facelift. The overall design is also similar with the same steering wheel, instrument cluster and audio system. However, the storage space above the central air-conditioner vents has been left out. In its place come gauges - compass, roll-and-tilt meter and inclinometer. These are the same gauges that were present on the Avventura concept, which was displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo, held earlier this year. But, unlike the concept, the production version does not have a 6-speed gearbox. In its place comes a 5-speed unit. A manual HVAC unit and the lack of steering-mounted controls suggests that the car in the picture could be a base or mid variant.

Based on the Punto, the Avventura gets a set of larger alloy wheels, muscular styling, projector headlamps, restyled bumpers, roof rails, body cladding and a tail gate-mounted spare wheel. All these additions give it a more rugged look compared to the Punto.

When it is launched, the Avventura will compete against the Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross.
