BYD M6 electric MPV India launch in the coming weeks

The BYD M6 is offered with two battery options: 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh, offering a range of 420 km and 530 km, respectively.

BYD India is gearing up to launch the M6 electric MPV in India in the coming weeks. The carmaker has dropped a teaser of the new model on social media and has also delisted the outgoing E6 from its official website.

The BYD M6 is the replacement for the E6. It was showcased at the Indonesia Auto Show in July this year. The teaser shows the car’s stylish LED headlamp with integrated LED DRLs.

Besides the new headlamps, the M6 also gets a different front fascia featuring a silver insert and a redesigned bumper, while the rear has reworked LED taillights connected by an LED light bar.

While the interior remains unchanged, the M6 does get a larger central touchscreen, a 3-spoke steering wheel and a conventional instrument cluster. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control and an electric tailgate. The MPV comes with 3-row seating and could also be offered in a 6-seater configuration.

The BYD M6 is offered with two battery options: 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh, offering a range of 420 km and 530 km, respectively. The batteries power a single electric motor that produces 161 BHP / 310 Nm (55.4 kWh) and 201 BHP / 310 Nm (71.8 kWh).
