Interceptor 650 fails to start after 5-10 days: Not a battery issue

I took the motorcycle to the Royal Enfield service centre where they connected a device to the bike and found the culprit.

Friends,

I have been facing a very peculiar problem with my Interceptor 650 (bought pre-owned with around 33k kms on it).

The problem is, that if I leave the bike parked for a few days (ranging from 5-10 days), the battery goes kaput and the bike refuses to start. The starter motor gives a tick-tick sound (like it used to be in the case of older cars when the battery was down). Sometimes, I'm able to push start it, but sometimes even that fails. I got the battery replaced under warranty a few weeks back, but the problem remains.

Last night, I tried to start it after 9 days (was out of the country) and it didn't start again.

Could it be that the alternator is not working correctly? Or should I get something else checked?

Update

I couldn't take the bike to the RE Service Center for a couple of weeks. Once I was there, the Service Center technician connected a device to check for the current/voltage and found out that the RR unit was not providing the required current to the battery due to which it was getting drained out. The RR was replaced, the battery was charged and the bike's been running good now.

I'm making sure to run it for a good 10-15 kms once a week, so maybe that could also be the contributing factor; hopefully, the problem is actually solved!
