Bharat NCAP safety rating stickers for vehicles introduced

The safety rating label features a QR code, which customers can scan to view the detailed crash test report of the vehicle.

Bharat NCAP has introduced a new sticker to display the safety ratings of the vehicles.

The label will reflect the level of safety awarded to the vehicles. It will provide ‘first-hand information’ to the consumer about the vehicle’s safety rating. The label will be issued to manufacturers for the vehicles rated under Bharat NCAP.

The safety rating label features a QR code, which customers can scan to view the detailed crash test report of the vehicle. It also displays the star rating for adult and child occupant safety, along with the model name and the date when it was tested.

Bharat NCAP was launched in October 2023. The vehicles that have been evaluated under the new car assessment program include the Harrier, Safari, Nexon.ev and Punch.ev from Tata Motors. All four SUVs have received a 5-star rating.
