Indonesia: Yamaha R25 production-ready version snapped

Pictures of the production-spec Yamaha YZF R25 spied in Indonesia have surface on the internet.

The R25 carries over the aggressive styling of the concept that was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November 2013. However, certain changes that were necessary to make the bike road-legal have been carried out. There is a new cowl which houses twin headlamps instead of the concept's large air intake, a new tail section to accommodate a pillion seat and a new exhaust among others.

The R25 is expected to be powered by a 250 cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike has a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. Braking power comes from single disc brakes on both wheels.

The R25 concept was displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo at Noida and later there was news that Yamaha was working on it to make it suitable to be launched in India.
