Citroen C3 now available with a retrofit CNG kit

The C3 CNG delivers a mileage of 28.1 km/kg, which equates to a running cost of Rs 2.66 per km.

CNG has emerged as a sustainable and cost-effective fuel alternative. As demand for CNG models surges, Citroen India has introduced a retrofit CNG kit for the C3 hatchback.

The retrofit CNG kit for the C3 is available for an additional price of Rs 93,000 across all Citroen dealerships.

According to the company, the CNG kit is factory-tested and calibrated to ensure a refined drive quality and optimal efficiency. It is said to deliver a mileage of 28.1 km/kg, which equates to a running cost of Rs 2.66 per km. The kit comes with a 3-year/1,00,000 km warranty.

Citroen says that the CNG system is integrated without compromising the boot space and the spare wheel remains accessible. The CNG nozzle is integrated within the petrol filler port. The CNG version gets specially tuned rear shock absorbers with reinforced springs and an anti-roll bar.

The CNG retrofit kit is available exclusively for the C3 powered by the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine and in four variants: Live, Feel, Feel (O) and Shine.
