Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has achieved a new domestic sales milestone. The carmaker has sold over 9 million units since its inception in 1996.
Hyundai recorded total monthly sales of 60,774 units in April 2025, achieving a year-on-year growth of 21%. These included 44,374 units that were sold in the domestic market and 16,400 units that were exported.
Hyundai also registered a growth of 16.2% from January to April 2025 as compared to the same period in the previous year. The carmaker is now gearing up to begin operations at the Talegaon plant in Q4 of CY2025.
Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and COO of HMIL, said, “As we enter the 30th year of our operations in India on 6th May 2025, we are proud of our commitment to our country, that has led us to achieve the milestone of 9-million-unit sales in the Indian market since our inception in 1996."
