Hyundai Creta: 1.21 lakh units sold in 1 year

Hyundai has sold over 5.8 lakh units of the Creta in the domestic market till date.

Hyundai has announced that it has sold over 1.21 lakh units of the Creta since the car's launch a year ago.

According to Hyundai, SX and SX (O) variants account for over 51% of the total Creta sales. The contribution of the 1.5-litre diesel variant is over 60%, while 20% of all cars sold are equipped with automatic transmissions.

The carmaker has sold over 5.8 lakh units of the Creta in the domestic market till date, while over 2.16 lakh units have been exported under the Make in India initiative.

The second generation Creta comes with three engine options. These include a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 113 BHP and 144 Nm, a 1.4-litre, turbo petrol that makes 138 BHP and 242 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 113 BHP and 250 Nm. The petrol engines are available with 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT and a CVT, while the diesel engine comes with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
