How to train Mercedes' MBUX Voice Assistant for Indian Accents?

My accent is Indian I would say but I can use Siri or Alexa without any issues.

BHPian palewar recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I can't ever get MBUX in my new GLA 200 to understand me. My accent is Indian I would say but I can use Siri or Alexa without any issues, but somehow MBUX never understands what I am saying and always responds with 'I am sorry'.

Anyone able to make it work properly? Is there anyway to train it for your voice?

Here's what GTO had to say on the matter:

Software from car companies will never be as good as software from hardcore tech companies. And with time, the gap will only increase. Sole exception to this rule is Tesla.

Would suggest you use Siri & Alexa only.

Here's what BHPian Newtown had to say on the matter:

If it's any consolation Sachin, I have seen a plethora of western accented car reviewers whose accent MBUX does not understand.

Including software that understands accents is not that hard these days. Mercedes should take it as a short coming and fix it. A vehicle cannot be tailored to a market anymore. Each market has a melting pot of cultures with unique accents.
