Honda recalls Accord, CR-V, Civic over faulty airbags

Honda has once again recalled some of its cars to carry out replacement of faulty airbags.

Passenger side airbag inflators of 575 units of the CR-V SUV manufactured in 2004 and driver side airbag inflators of 10,805 units of the Accord sedan manufactured from 2003 - 2007 will be replaced. Additionally, the passenger side airbag Inflator of 1 unit of the Civic sedan manufactured in 2004 will also be replaced.

The replacement would be carried out free of cost at Honda dealerships across India from 4th June 2015 in a phased manner and the company will communicate with customers directly.

Additionally, owners can log on to Honda's website and ascertain if their vehicles are in the list of recalled vehicles. Owners need to enter their car's 17-character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite that has been created.

The replacement is being carried out as a part of a global exercise by Honda. No incidents related to this part have been reported in India.
