Honda inaugurates 200th dealership in India

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), has inaugurated its 200th dealership in the country. Metro Honda in Secunderabad was inaugurated by Mr. Hironori Kanayama, President and CEO, Honda Cars India. The new dealership is located at Bowenpally, RR District, Secunderabad. It has a built-up area of 58,000 sq. ft. and provides sales, service and spare parts (3S) facility to customers.

With the opening of Metro Honda, HCIL now has network presence of 200 facilities in 130 cities in the country. The company aims to raise this number to 230 in 150 cities by March 2015. The company has also announced that it plans to add 100 new dealers by March 2016 with a focus on existing and newer Tier-III markets.. The expansion drive is a part of a plan to achieve a sales figure of 3,00,000 units per annum by March 2017.

HCIL has managed to sell more than 1 lakh cars in the current financial year registering an overall growth of 43% during the period April - October 2014 with 1,01,442 units as against 70,831 units during the corresponding period last year.
