Honda Activa sales cross the 3 crore mark after 22 years

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is celebrating a new sales milestone, as its most popular model, the Activa, crossed the 3 crore sales mark.

The Honda Activa was introduced in the Indian market in 2001. It took the company 22 years to achieve the milestone figure of 3 crore units.

The Activa was an instant success in India. It became the best-selling model in the segment within the first 3-years. Sales crossed the 10 lakh unit mark within the next 2-years. Activa sales hit the 1-crore mark in 2015, and by 2018, there were 2-crore Activas on the road.

Honda has been updating the model regularly. Now in its sixth generation, the Activa is also available with Honda Smart Key. It continues to be powered by a 109.51cc, single-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
