Harley-Davidson's new 1,250cc bike to be called Sportster S

Harley-Davidson might introduce a slightly less powerful version of the Sportster S at a later stage.

Last month, Harley-Davidson has released a teaser of a new 1,250cc motorcycle. We now know that the bike will be called the 'Sportster S'.

Initially, it was believed that the new model could be named the '1250 Custom'. However, documents submitted to the NHTSA confirm the 'Sportster S' name.

It has also been revealed that the Sportster S will be powered by the same 1,252cc Revolution Max engine that debuted on the Pan America. However, on Sportster S, the motor has been detuned to 119 BHP.

Rumours suggest that Harley-Davidson might introduce a slightly less powerful version of the Sportster S at a later stage. It could be called the 'Sportster'.
