GMC Hummer electric SUV and truck teased

General Motors has released a teaser video of its upcoming all-electric Hummer. It is called the GMC Hummer EV and it will be revealed later this year.

The Hummer EV is a far cry from the gas-guzzling off-roader that the Hummer brand has been associated with all these years. However, the teaser suggests that the styling of the new model will be inspired by the Hummer. It has a chunky design with sharp angles and squared-off wheel arches. It will also be offered in two body styles - SUV and truck. 

The GMC Hummer EV's electric powertrain produces 986 BHP and a massive 15,592 Nm. The carmaker claims that it will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds. It will use GM's next-generation Ultium battery technology that is claimed to offer ultra-fast recharge times.

The Hummer EV has an Adrenaline mode, which could be a high-output driving mode. There is also a Crab mode which could be similar to Rivian R1Ts tank turn. It is also equipped with Ultra-Vision Cameras and will have Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving capability.
