Girish Wagh appointed as Tata's CV business head

Tata Motors has appointed Girish Wagh as the Head of Commercial Vehicle Business Unit with immediate effect. This appointment comes after Ravindra Pisharody resigned as the Executive Director of the company's CV unit.

Mr. Wagh will be taking charge of the position from immediate effect and will be working closely with Pisharody for a smooth work transition. Prior to this new role assignment, he was working with Tata Motors as the 'Head of Product Line MHCV'. A replacement for his previous position hasn't yet been decided. However, the company has announced that Mr. Wagh will continue to oversee responsibilities of the said role for the time being.

Girish Wagh (46) has done his mechanical engineering from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology and is a post graduate in manufacturing from the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research. He has been working with Tata Motors since 1992 and has played a big role in the development of products like the Tata Indica and Nano. Mr. Wagh was also head of the Tata Ace LCV project.
