First Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS rolls off the production line

The first Grand i10 NIOS has rolled out of Hyundai's assembly plant near Chennai. The car is scheduled to be launched on August 20, 2019.

Hyundai has started accepting bookings for the Grand i10 NIOS. The car is likely to be offered in Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta trims.

The Grand i10 NIOS features a redesigned cascade grille with V-shaped daytime running lights. It gets redesigned headlamps with projectors and triangular fog lamp pods that house circular fog lamps. The car has blacked-out B-pillars, chrome door handles and roof rails. It rides on dual-tone alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Grand i10 NIOS comes with a dual-tone interior and a redesigned dashboard with a silver insert. It features a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and what appears to be a twin-pod instrument cluster with a large MID. The centre console houses a touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control.

Reports suggest that the Grand i10 NIOS could be offered with BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines, while transmission options might include 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
