First batch of Lexus LX500d SUVs arrives in India

The LX500d is imported as a completely built unit (CBU) along with its cousin, the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300.

The first batch of the Lexus LX500d has landed in India. One of the SUV was recently spotted at a dealership in Kerala.

The Lexus LX500d was launched in December last year. It is imported as a completely built unit (CBU) along with its cousin, the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300.

The LX500d gets a massive chrome grille up front, flanked by LED headlamps and LED fog lamps. The 5-seater SUV is available with the option of 22-inch rims.

Inside, the LX500d comes equipped with a dual-screen setup comprising of a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a 7.0-inch screen for climate control functions and other information.

The LX500d is powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine that develops 305 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 700 Nm @ 1,600-2,600 rpm. The engine will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
