In pictorial detail: Dark Editions of the Citroen Basalt, C3 & Aircross

Citroen has launched the Dark Edition of the Basalt, C3 and Aircross. The Dark Edition versions include cosmetic changes to the exterior and interior of the cars. There are no mechanical changes to any of the models.

Here is a close look at the Dark Editions of the various cars.

Citroen Basalt Dark Edition

The Basalt Dark is based on the Max variant. It is available with the MT and AT 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, priced at Rs. 12,80,000 and Rs. 14,10,300 (ex-showroom) for the MT and AT, respectively.

Dark Edition comes in a new Perla Nera Black colour:

At the front there are changes to the radiator grille:

Horizontal slats on the radiator grille and double Chevron emblem are finished in dark chrome:

Grille gets dark chrome inserts:

Apart from additional badges and colour of the door handles, there are no changes to the side:

Both front doors get chrome "Dark Edition" badges:

Door handles are finsihed in black:

All variants of the Basalt are now E20 fuel-compliant:

At the rear. the only changes made are to the badges and lettering:

Double Chevron badge along with the brand and model lettering are finished in dark chrome:

Interiors are all-black. Dashboard gets some soft-touch material. Lower portion of the dashboard is now black:

Soft-touch material has been used on the upper section of the crashpad. It gets Lava Red stitching:

All A/C vents are finished in glossy black:

Ambient lighting has been provided on the dashboard...

...and front footwells:

Doorpads are fully black (except for the door latch):

Front dooor sills get backlit "Citroen" branded scuff plates:

Seats get black leatherette upholstery with red and grey highlights:

Front seats get "Dark Edition" branding:

Front seatbelts get "Citroen" branded cushioning:

Centre armrest is upholstered in black leatherette with red stitching:

Centre fascia is now all-black:

Black cupholders are located at the based of the centre fascia:

Gear shifter comes with a glossy black bezel:

Centre console too, is all-black:

Storage bin under the centre armest is also black:

Just like the front, rear doorpads are now black:
