BYD eMax 7 name confirmed for e6 MPV replacement

The eMax 7 is expected to get two battery options: 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh, offering a range of 420 km and 530 km, respectively.

BYD has confirmed that the upcoming M6 electric MPV will be called 'eMax 7' in India.

The BYD M6, which replaces the e6 in the brand’s global line-up, was showcased at the Indonesia Auto Show in July this year. The latest teaser not only reveals the silhouette of the new EV, but also its new name.

The BYD eMax 7 will come with refreshed styling, sleek LED headlamps, and reworked LED taillights connected by an LED light bar. Inside, the MPV will feature a larger central touchscreen, a 3-spoke steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control and an electric tailgate.

In the global market, the eMax 7 is offered with two battery options: 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh, offering a range of 420 km and 530 km, respectively. The batteries power a single electric motor that produces 161 BHP / 310 Nm (55.4 kWh) and 201 BHP / 310 Nm (71.8 kWh).
