Bookings for the next batch of BMW M340i xDrive cars opens

The second batch of cars may be limited to 50 units and it could also come in a new black colour.

Dealers have started accepting bookings for the second batch of BMW M340i xDrive cars. Online bookings are expected to open soon.

The second batch of cars may be limited to 50 units and it could also come in a new black colour. Deliveries are expected to begin in August / September.

The M340i xDrive gets M-specific chassis tuning, all-wheel drive and an M Sport rear differential. Customers can choose from three 'M Performance' Accessory packages - Enthusiast Pack, Racer's Pack and Motorsport Pack.

It is powered by a twin-turbo, 3.0-litre, inline 6-cylinder engine producing 377 BHP @ 5,500-6,500 rpm and 500 Nm @ 1,850-5,000 rpm. The engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and power is sent to all four wheels. The 0 - 100 km/h time is claimed to be 4.4 seconds.

The M340i xDrive is equipped with BMW EfficientDynamics features like auto engine start / stop, brake energy regeneration, electronic power steering, 50:50 weight distribution and ECO PRO mode.
