Owners of the latest Volkswagen Polo, Vento and Jetta cars, which are equipped with the MIB II head-unit, can now get the infotainment system updated to make it compatible with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. An option to enable Voice Commands is also being provided. This new addition is part of an App Connect Package that is officially available at VW Service Centres.

For a 2015 VW Jetta, the cost of the update is approximately Rs. 27,000. This includes the App Connect package (part number 5G0054830A) and a USB port (part number 5NA057342A). The voice command license, if opted for, will cost extra.

If one opts for the Voice Command feature, the voice control button on the steering wheel can be used to interact with the assistants on iOS or Android devices connected to the head-unit.
