Apollo Tyres to launch Vredestein brand in India in March '21

With Vredestein, Apollo Tyres is planning to cater to the higher segment of the market, which means products that will bring in higher profits. The brand will compete against other international manufacturers such as Michelin, Bridgestone and Goodyear.

In August 2020, Apollo Tyres had announced that it was working towards locally manufacturing Vredestein branded tyres in India and that it was planning to introduce the brand in the country. Now, the company has revealed that it will unveil the European tyre brand in India in March 2021. The company has also announced that it has started manufacturing Vredestein tyres in the country with moulds brought from Europe.

Vredestein was established in the Netherlands in 1909. Apollo Tyres acquired the company in 2009. In September 2020, Apollo Vredestein launched its range of tyres in North America.
