The Mahindra e2oPlus has been launched in India at prices starting from Rs. 5.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This is basically a four-door version of the e2o, which was launched in 2013. With this new hatchback, Mahindra Electric now has four products in its portfolio: e2o, e2oPlus, e Verito and e Supro.

In addition to the two extra doors at the rear, the e2oPlus also gets various cosmetic updates. The front grille gets a quintessential Mahindra treatment with the claw-like design. The side profile is characterized by a kink in the window line just after the B-pillar, and 14-inch alloy wheels. It is worth noting that the e2oPlus will get a blacked out roof. Rear of the new hatchback features vertically stacked LED taillights, while the number plate housing has been moved to the tailgate. Dimensionally, the four-door model is longer by 310 mm, wider by 61mm and taller by 25mm, as compared to the two-door e2o. It also has a 300 mm longer wheelbase that has been stretched to accommodate the two additional doors.

On the inside, the e2oPlus gets essentially the same dashboard design which is found on the two-door model. However, the regular 2-DIN head unit of the e2o has been replaced by a Blaupunkt-sourced Android unit on the Plus. It also gets a reverse parking camera. All four-doors get power windows as standard.

Mahindra will be offering the e2oPlus in four trim levels: P2, P4, P6 and P8. The entry-level P2 trim will be exclusive for fleet operators and will thus be sold only on yellow plates. The first three trims are powered by a 19 kW (25 BHP) electric motor with a torque rating of 70 Nm, which is supplied juice from a 48V battery pack. With the said setup, the e2oPlus has an operational range of 110 km. The company claims that this motor can take the e2oPlus from 0-60 km/h in 14.1 seconds, while the top speed is 80 km/h. It is expected to take 6 hours to charge on a regular 16 Amp charger. Interestingly, the automaker has provided fast charging capabilities to the fleet-exclusive P2 trim, which uses a three-phase 32 Amp charger that can charge the car to 95% in 75 minutes.

The top-end P8 trim gets a 30 kW (40 BHP) motor that generates 91 Nm of torque. It has a company claimed 0-60 km/h time of 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 85 km/h. Owing to a larger battery pack, this variant takes 9 hours to charge on a regular 16 Amp supply and 90 minutes to reach the 95% level on a 3-Phase 32 Amp charger.

Ex-showroom Delhi prices of the Mahindra e2oPlus are:
• e2oPlus P4 : Rs. 5,46,330
• e2oPlus P6 : Rs. 5,95,091
• e2oPlus P8 : Rs. 8,46,459
The above price includes all government subsidies.
