The 2024 MotoGP Indian Grand Prix has been cancelled. According to Fairstreet Sports, the race has been called off due to weather concerns.

The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports have confirmed that the Indian Grand Prix will not be held this year. The event has been rescheduled to March 2025, with Kazakhstan replacing the 2024 Indian GP.

An official statement released by Dorna states, “The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports announce that the Indian Grand Prix will not take place in 2024, with MotoGP postponing its return to the country to early 2025 due to operational considerations.

Following advice from the Government of Uttar Pradesh, as the state continues its long-term commitment to MotoGP, the sport will return to Buddh International Circuit in March 2025, when weather conditions are expected to be optimal for spectators and riders alike.”

Qatar GP, which is usually the first race of the season, is also expected to be rescheduled from February 28 to March 29, 2025, due to Ramadan. It is said that the Indian GP could take its place as the season-opener next year.
