2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG to debut on 12 September

Will rival the Tata Tiago CNG and Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS CNG hatchbacks.

According to reports, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to introduce the CNG version of its latest-generation Swift hatchback next week.

Reports claim that the 2024 Maruti Swift CNG will make its debut on 12 September. The CNG version will be offered across multiple variants, all of which will be powered by the new 1.2-litre Z-series petrol engine and have a 60-litre CNG tank placed in the boot. While Maruti hasn't released the official power figures of the car, reports suggest that the engine, when running on CNG, could produce 70 BHP and 100 Nm.

For the previous generation Swift, Maruti claimed a fuel efficiency of 30.9 km/kg. Hence, expect the CNG version of the new Swift also to deliver similar or slightly improved FE.

The 2024 Swift CNG, once launched in India, will take on the likes of the Tata Tiago CNG and the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS CNG hatchbacks.
