Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG launched at Rs 8.20 lakh

The new Z-series engine is said to deliver a fuel efficiency of 32.85 km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki announced the launch of the Swift S-CNG in India. Based on the all-new Swift, the CNG version is available in three variants: VXi, VXi (O) and ZXi, with prices starting at Rs 8,19,500 (ex-showroom).

The Swift CNG is powered by the same 1.2-litre Z-series petrol engine as the standard version. In CNG mode, this engine delivers 68.79 BHP @ 5,700 rpm and 101.8 Nm @ 2,900 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The new Z-series engine is said to deliver a fuel efficiency of 32.85 km/kg, an improvement of over 6% compared to its predecessor.

The Swift CNG comes with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Suzuki Connect, automatic climate control with rear AC vents and a wireless charger. The car also gets a whole host of safety features, including 6 airbags, ESP and Hill Hold Assist.

The new Swift S-CNG is also available through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee starting from Rs 21,628.
