The 2016 Hyundai Tucson has been spotted at a dealer stockyard, ahead of its official India launch on November 14. The automaker had teased the Tucson recently through a set of official sketch images, pointing towards a nearing launch. The Tucson will be placed between the Creta and the Santa Fe in Hyundai's Indian SUV portfolio.

The Tucson isn't a new name for the Indian market. Hyundai had launched the first-gen model in 2005, which wasn't really able to make a mark for the Indian customers. The second-gen model never made it to India. But with the SUV marketplace now getting a lot of customer attention, Hyundai will be introducing yet another contender to have a share of the pie.

The Tucson features Hyundai's Fluidic 2.0 design language. The front gets a chrome-lined hexagonal grille, swept-back headlamps with projector and LED DRLs. The rear too gets LED wraparound taillights.

Powering the Tucson will be a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol is expected to be rated at 150 BHP and 195 Nm of torque, while the diesel is expected to churn out around 181 BHP. Both these engines will be offered with a 6-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
