2 years with my Duke 390: Why I won't sell it, despite irregular usage

The biking bug is off me, but the KTM 390 Duke for me is a keeper.

BHPian saikishor recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

5th March is a special day in my life. Citrus came home on this exact date 2 years ago, and I must say it has been a wonderful experience. Usage has fallen drastically since November 2023, as I started to use a car for my daily commute in place of Citrus. The monthly average used to be 1000-1100 km, but now it has fallen to 200 km. I feel it would even fall to zero kilometres in the coming months. Somehow the so-called biking bug is off me now, as I started to fall in love with my 14-year-old car. If this bike had good resale value, I would've sold it off and used that money on pimping my car but since that is not the case, Citrus will remain a keeper for a very long time unless some unforeseen situation occurs.

With all of that being said, I must admit this bike always manages to put a nice wide smile on my face. The electric acceleration still manages to scare me, despite being used to it for 23,000 kilometres. The bike has always been reliable, never left me stranded and pretty easy to maintain as well. The roominess of this bike is something that even the current-gen Duke can't come close to. BS6 made this bike the smoothest ever in its existence.

I appreciate this bike's existence. There have been many instances in which Citrus cooled off my frustrated mind, was there when no one else was and whatnot. I am failing to elaborate, I just don't want to make a chapri post on this special day. My soul is at a very high peace level when compared to other broken ones out there but even for such a soul, low days do happen out of the blue. Citrus was there in all of those low days to pull me out of it. Thank you so much Citrus for being there, I just can't thank you enough.

Please excuse my not-so-framed post, sometimes the heart fails to express such emotions.

2 years out of many more to come!
