10 road trip observations of my 2023 Safari with 3 passengers & 2 dogs

The last row passenger was fairly comfortable, not overly comfortable as she had luggage on one seat, but could go through a 4.5-hour drive.

BHPian cityscrambler recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I took Yuki to a hilltop overlooking Pawana Dam. I wouldn't say I had any significant rocky terrain to overcome, but the car was loaded with two dogs in the bench seat plus three passengers plus me.

Whatever ill-gotten roads I had to go through towards the end, the rocky terrain seemed to stabilize the impact on everyone in the car. It was important for me to note what the passengers felt and here are a few points from the trip:

  1. Lots of space for two dogs looking opposite ways in the second-row bench seat. (Large dogs)
  2. The last row passenger was fairly comfortable, not overly comfortable as she had luggage on one seat, but could go through a 4.5-hour drive without significant complaints.
  3. The last phase of the drive was pretty steep and had large cobbles for the road along with sharp hairpins. I put on the rough terrain mode without the sports mode and the auto hold was on of course, and these combined made it a quick uneventful climb up.
  4. Dog hair is not easy to ignore on white upholstery but a quick vacuum fixes it.
  5. When the roads are narrow and you have to climb down from the road, sometimes the height of the climb down is high and it's a sudden fall. I was worried (as an amateur driver) that this might have us get stuck but I didn't even feel it.
  6. God bless ventilated seating.
  7. A pillar interference pops us 2 out of 10 times. It is manageable but I wish I didn't have it.
  8. Sports mode gives immediate manoeuvrability to the driver but affects the comfort of co-passengers. They don't feel as much at ease as the city mode. I would guess this is across all sports modes or just the safari.
  9. Since it was a muddy pawed ride for the dog, significant parts of the upholstery need cleaning. I haven't attempted it yet since I'm just back from the trip. But will keep you guys posted
  10. The blind spot indicator sound when you turn on the indicator cuts over the music after which the music goes silent. You have to then disconnect Bluetooth, reconnect and then play.

Some more pictures for you although I constantly forget to take pictures in new situations like the uphill climb.
