Uber launches Mumbai-Pune cab service

Travelling between Mumbai and Pune has been made easier by cab aggregator - Uber, with the introduction of uberINTERCITY. At a price of Rs. 3,999, users can shuttle between Mumbai and Pune (one way) in an Uber cab. This price includes all the toll charges.

However, this inter-city service is available for a limited period of time only. Also, when we clicked the option on the Uber app, no cabs seemed to be available. No details are available as to which car will be available to ferry guests between the two cities but going by the maximum seating capacity, it seems that the cab could be a 7-seater.

The tariff might seem to be on the higher side especially considering that some lesser known cab providers offer air-conditioned cabs at half the rate (including toll charges). Uber's closest rivals - Ola and Meru, also provide cabs, chargeable on cost/km basis.
