Triumph has announced that the introductory pricing for the Speed 400 will end on December 31, 2023. From January 1, 2024, the ex-showroom prices will be hiked by Rs 10,000 to Rs 2.33 lakh.
The Speed 400 was launched in July this year. The neo-retro roadster is Triumph’s new entry-level offering alongside the Scrambler 400X, which was introduced in the Indian market in October.
Both models are powered by a 398cc, liquid-cooled engine that makes 39.5 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a torque-assist clutch.
The Speed 400 is equipped with an upside-down front fork offering 130 mm of travel and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking power is provided by a 300 mm rotor at the front and a single disc at the rear.
