Toyota launches 2014 Innova Facelift

Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited, a collaboration between Japanese automaker Toyota and Indian business conglomerate Kirloskar, has launched the facelifted 2014 Innova MPV. Although Toyota calls the facelifted Innova an all-new model, the MPV is merely a facelift that will keep the sales numbers ticking, considering the fact that an all-new Innova is under development for a launch in late-2015/early 2016.

The facelifted model comes with cosmetic changes on the exteriors and interiors. While the 2.5 liter turbo diesel engine is carried over unchanged on the facelifted Innova, details on whether the facelift will be available on the petrol and CNG powered Innova variants are not known at this point in time. Notably, Toyota India's official website lists only the diesel powered Innova as of now, with the spec-sheet of petrol and CNG powered models unavailable.

Along with the facelift, Toyota has also added a top-end Z variant to the Innova's line up. The facelifted Innova's prices start at 12.46 lakh rupees, while the top end variant is priced at 15.07 lakh rupees, both prices reflecting ex-showroom Delhi figures. The list of the cosmetic and feature changes on the Innova Facelift are listed below:

  •     Restyled front bumper
  •     New front grille design
  •     Chrome surrounds for the fog lamps
  •     Body cladding
  •     Chrome hatch lid garnish with integrated reflector

The top-end Z variant of the facelifted Innova gets the following additional features:

  •     Rear roof spoiler
  •     Graphics on the flanks
  •     Chromed exhaust tip
  •     Wood finish for gearknob, dashboard and armrests
  •     Dual tone leather seats
