Toyota Land Cruiser and Prado discontinued

It has been reported that Toyota has discontinued the Land Cruiser and the Prado from the Indian market. The two cars are no longer seen on Toyota's website. Since August 2019, Toyota has not sold any Prados, while the Land Cruiser sold less than 20 units per month since July 2019.

The Prado was powered by a 3.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produced 172 BHP @ 3,400 rpm and 410 Nm @ 1,600-2,800 rpm. It was paired to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The Land Cruiser LC 200 was powered by a 4,461cc, V8 diesel engine that produced 261 BHP and 650 Nm. It was paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Both cars came with four-wheel drive.

In October 2019, global sales of the Land Cruiser crossed 1 crore units.
