Top Gear: Chris Evans replaces Jeremy Clarkson

Ever since Jeremy Clarkson was suspended due to his scuffle with a Top Gear producer, the fate of the television show became a question mark. Now, BBC has officially announced that TV and radio personality, Chris Evans will be hosting Top Gear and the production for the new series is said to commence soon.

Chris Evans is a well-known petrolhead, with an impressive car collection of his own. The 49-year old will be replacing his good friend, Jeremy Clarkson as the host of the popular show, watched by 350 million viewers worldwide.

The article also mentions that he will be the lead presenter of an all-new Top Gear line-up, which indicates that James May and Richard Hammond will not be a part of the new series.

The last episode of Top Gear season 22 will be aired on June 28, showing Jeremy, Richard and Hammond for the last time on the show.
