Datsun offers driver airbag with GO and GO+

India may not be the most safety conscious car market, but the poor performance of the Datsun GO at the NCAP safety tests damaged the brand's reputation before it could be established. It has now been learnt that Datsun is offering a driver side airbag with the T (O) variant, on the GO and GO+.

The update has not been reflected in the official brochures on the website yet, but dealerships have started accepting bookings and the price lists reflect the same. The addition of the driver airbag raises the price for both models by around Rs. 15,000/-, over the T-variant.

While deliveries of the GO T (O) variant can be expected around the second week of July, dealers say the airbag equipped GO+ can reach customers in the first week of August (delivery time frame may differ depending on the location).
