Tata Punch EV: 3 annoying niggles I have noticed recently

The central DRL stopped working. Observed it today don't know when it stopped working. Did a vehicle software reset but it didn't help.

BHPian mh09ad5578 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Ran into the first sort of major bug. The central DRL stopped working. Observed it today don't know when it stopped working. Did a vehicle software reset but it didn't help. I don't really care about this central DRL so mostly won't take it to ASC till next service. Hoping it fixes itself

Found media player to be lacking, while playing USB media everytime it starts with the same first song, doesn't remember the shuffle/repeat seatings/ last song. It even plays suffle songs in the exact same sequence. Its irritating to listen to the same song/sequence every time I start the car, my 9 year old Duster with the antique LG system used to play the last played song and real good random shuffle I don't know what's wrong with the Tatas media player. Would have loved it if started on Bluetooth every time but it needs to be physically selected on the media player and then needs one more click to play on mobile every time. Lots of steps involved, would have preferred automatic play. This does happen in Android Auto but not on Bluetooth.

There is no way to save/select the default vehicle drive mode/regen mode. Trying to use the Eco mode but the vehicle starts by default in City mode and every time have to reselect Eco mode and level regen 3 (Eco has level 2 regen as default). Lots of extra button presses, I think Tata could have improved here.

Going on 1000 km round road trip to Kolhapur tomorrow and hence fingers crossed, haven't got the spare yet so doubly apprehensive. Lets see how it goes.

Here's what BHPian DHARM had to say on the matter:

Recently my car also had bug, Regen was shown off and won't turn on. It stopped showing battery %, Range etc. so I called Service center staff, he told me system is hanged & advised to remove -ve terminal connector from the smaller battery for 5 minutes however since I was charging the vehicle at the time I avoided it. Surprisingly after the completion of charge the bug went on its own.
