Tata Nexon CNG to be launched in FY2025

The Nexon iCNG will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG.

The Tata Nexon will get a CNG option in this fiscal year. The carmaker has confirmed that the Nexon CNG will be launched in the Indian market later this year.

The Nexon iCNG was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show. It uses Tata’s twin-cylinder technology, which features two small 30-litre cylinders instead of a single large unit. The cylinders are mounted under the boot floor instead of taking up space in the luggage area.

The Nexon iCNG will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, making it the first CNG vehicle to use a turbocharged engine. In petrol mode, this engine produces 118 BHP and 170 Nm, but the exact output when running on CNG has not been disclosed yet.

The Nexon iCNG will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG.
