Tata Motors has launched the Movus MUV in India at a price of Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Movus is in essence, a stripped down version of the Sumo Grande and has been positioned as an entry-level MUV. It comes in two variants - CX and LX. It is available in 7, 8 and 9 seater configurations, with front-facing, side-facing and captain seats.
Powering the Movus is a 2.2-litre, VARICOR diesel engine with a power output of 120 PS and torque output of 250 Nm. Tata Motors claims that the Movus will be easy to maintain and have a low running cost. The company says it can deliver 15.15 kpl and has an engine warranty of 3 years or 1,50,000 km. The vehicle has a new rack and pinion steering and a self-adjusting clutch.
The Movus has a ground clearance of 180 mm, wheelbase of 2,550 mm and a turning circle of 5.35 metres. Tata Motors is offering the Movus in two colours - white and silver.
