Tata Green Batteries now in Indian two wheeler market

Tata AutoComp GY Batteries - a joint venture between Tata AutoComp Systems and GS YUASA International, Japan; has inaugurated its manufacturing facility for Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) batteries in Ranjangaon near Pune. The VRLA battery range, named the “Tata Green Batteries – Velocity Plus”, has been developed in light of the recent shift the industry has seen from conventional to VRLA batteries in the two wheeler segment.

These batteries will be available in 3AH, 3.5AH and 5AH, which are suitable for most 2 wheelers in the market. The company claims, the batteries are designed to deliver a higher ignition power to ensure an instant start in all weather conditions. The batteries use a Lead – Calcium alloy for longer life.
