Bangalore dealer offers Tata Aria, now at Rs. 8.95 lakh

Despite being a very capable vehicle, the Tata Aria has never really managed to sell in decent numbers. This was partly due to the high price that the crossover was launched at and partly due to the look of the car. Tata Motors dropped the price of the vehicle significantly to make it competitive and while it managed to improve its sales, it still failed to make an impression on competitors like Toyota and Mahindra.

Now a Bangalore dealer of Tata Motors is offering a further discount of Rs. 1 lakh on the crossover for a limited period. The Pure LX 4x2 variant of the car is now available for Rs. 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore). This makes the Aria an excellent value for money prospect, especially for those looking to buy a people mover. The similarly sized Toyota Innova for instance is approximately, Rs. 1 lakh more expensive and the Mahindra XUV 500 W4 costs almost Rs. 2 lakh more. In fact, the Aria's price is now slightly lower S4 variant of the recently-launched new Scorpio.

The Aria Pure LX is powered by a 2179 cc, 4-cylinder VariCOR turbocharged diesel engine that develops 148 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1500-3000 rpm. This makes it more powerful than its rivals as well. The Pure and Pleasure variants of the car come with rear-wheel drive while the top-of -the-line Pride variant features all-wheel drive.
