Suzuki V-Strom 650XT ABS launched at Rs. 7.46 lakh

Suzuki has launched the V-Strom 650XT ABS in India. The bike is priced at Rs. 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The V-Strom 650XT based on an aluminium twin spar frame. It measures 2,275 mm in length, 910 mm in width and 1,405 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,560 mm, while the seat height is set at 835 mm. The ground clearance of the bike is 170 mm and it weighs 216 kg. Fuel tank capacity is 20 litres.

The V-Strom 650XT is an adventure tourer. It features a hexagonal headlamp with a pronounced beak and an adjustable windscreen. It has a stepped seat and grab handles with provision for securing large baggage or a 55-litre top case. The instrument cluster consists of an analogue tachometer and a digital readout. The bike rides on telescopic type front suspension with coil springs and a link type coil spring at the rear.

Powering the V-Strom 650XT is a 645cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine, which is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The bike rides on 19-inch and 17-inch wire spoke wheels at the front and rear respectively, while braking is handled by twin 310 mm discs with 2-piston calipers at the front and a single 260 mm disc at the rear with a 1-piston caliper. It comes equipped with ABS.

Other features include riding modes, traction control, low RPM assist and a 12V DC outlet. The bike is available in 2 colour options - Champion Yellow and Pearl Glacier White. A saree guard and front number plate bracket will be included as standard equipment for the Indian market.
