Spied: Next generation BMW X3

The next generation BMW X3 SUV has been spied cold weather testing. Codenamed the "G01", the test mule doesn't seem to sport any noteworthy changes and the design seems to be more evolutionary.

The front bumper appears to have been redesigned, while the front grille has been moderately tweaked as well.  The test mule features a familiar radio antenna, while the most tangible change at the back is the dual tail-pipe set up. The brake stop light's placement has changed as well, while the roof-line seems to have a sharper downward curve. The headlamps and tail-lamps look entirely different as well, though the production version will probably feature a different design than what is seen on the test mule.

Engine options will most likely be carried over from the current model, but can get improved performance and efficiency figures. The new X3 could even shed some weight and get a plug-in hybrid variant. Expect the new X3's launch in 2017.
